Brief description of the programme
Field of study: 04 – Theology.
Speciality: 041 – Theology.
Object of study: Theology and Biblical Studies, Liturgy, Patrology, Church History, Canonical Law, Sacred Art, Pastoral Practice, etc.
Programme objective: to provide training of highly qualified specialists in the sphere and speciality “Theology”, capable of solving complex specialised tasks and practical problems in the course of professional activity or in the process of study, which involves the application of certain theories and methods of theological science and is characterised by complexity and uncertainty of conditions.
Teaching and education: professionally oriented training with the acquisition of competencies sufficient to solve complex specialised tasks and practical problems in professional activities or in the educational process, which involves the application of certain theories and methods of theological science and is characterised by complexity and uncertainty of conditions. Gaining skills in pedagogical work in secondary school.
Suitability for employment: work in relevant positions in organisations, institutions, establishments, associations of citizens, charitable and other similar organisations regardless of ownership and subordination, in particular in religious organisations and educational institutions, which involves educational, training, enlightenment, social and practical, expert advisory, representative and mediation, and organisational and managerial activities.
Availability of accreditation: Certificate of accreditation of educational programme 1655 issued by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, valid until 01 July 2026.

* Subject to the selection of the above educational components, their successful completion and the writing and defence of a research (term) paper on the methods of teaching theological disciplines, as a result of a subsequent certification, the relevant higher education applicants may be awarded the professional qualification of a teacher of a general secondary education institution, and a certificate of this is issued.
