Regents’ Department
As a subdivision of the Faculty of Theology of the Kyiv Orthodox Theological Academy, the Regents’ Department provides training for regents and church choir charters for the practical purposes of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
The department was established in 2005 by the resolution of the Academic Council of the then Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary.
The academic process continues for three years and is carried out according to a separate curriculum in part-time (evening) mode. Priority is given to the study of disciplines of professional and practical training.
Academic work is provided by a team of academic staff of the departments of Theology, Holy Scripture, and Ecclesiastical Practical Disciplines.
The Regents’ Department was led by the heads of the Department: PhD in Theology, Associate Professor Archpriest Petro Boiko (2005 – 2015) and Veronika Vasylivna Matvienko (since 2016).
